As a typical high-end practical equipment, with the continuous improvement of the manufacturing process, the performance of all aspects of infrared thermography camera has been significantly improved today. Here I will introduce the main parameters of infrared thermography camera systematically.

1. The frame rate of infrared thermography camera

The frame rate refers to the number of images that can be taken, processed, and displayed by the infrared thermography imager in one second. The faster the thermal camera sensor response and the higher the processing speed of the internal circuit is, and the greater the frame rate can be achieved. The infrared thermography camera with high frame rate is suitable for capturing the temperature field distribution of high-speed objects. It is more suitable for scientific research research.

2. The pixel array and the pixel spacing

The current infrared thermography image detector is an uncooled focal plane detector. In the production process, it will process the sensor units that arranged in an array on vanadium oxide or polycrystalline silicone materials, with a certain distance between each unit.

3. The accuracy of the temperature measurement

Accuracy refers to the percentage of the ratio of the maximum temperature error of the infrared thermography camera and the instrument range when the infrared thermography camera is corrected for the environment, temperature, humidity, distance, and emissivity.

4. The displaying method

The displaying method usually refers to that the display of the infrared thermography camera screen can be black and white or pseudo-color.

5. The temperature measurement range

For the infrared thermography camera, when it is on normal operation, there will always be a certain temperature measurement range, which refers to the range of the minimum and maximum temperature values of the measured temperature.

6. The temperature resolution

The temperature resolution specifically refers to an important parameter index for measuring the infrared thermography camera and the sensitivity of the detector to the temperature change of the measured object. The smaller the temperature resolution is, the better the infrared thermography camera is. The measurement and determination of temperature resolution should be done under specific conditions.

7. The scanning system and the maximum working time

These are two parameters that people often tend to ignore. The former refers to the national standard TV system, the PAL system. The latter refers to the continuous working time that the infrared thermography camera permits.
