Coal transportation in any form of handling system has the potential to catch fire, which may cause fire accidents, so the temperature monitoring of coal on the conveyor belt is particularly important. If a simple spot thermometer is used, it can only detect the temperature of an over-hot spot on the conveyor belt. Due to its inherent optical characteristics, it may miss some excessive hot spots and then may lead to a fire caused by overheating coal.

With the development of infrared technology, infrared thermograph imager is also widely used in coal mines, which provides more advanced technical equipment for solving spontaneous combustion of coal seam and searching and saving miners.

The thermal imaging device is used to accept the infrared radiation energy distribution of the coal seam or human body by using the infrared detector and optical imaging objective lens to reflect the infrared radiation energy distribution pattern to the photosensitive element of the infrared detector, so as to obtain the coal seam distribution or the infrared thermal image of the human body. This thermal image corresponds to the thermal distribution field on the surface of the object. Generally speaking, the infrared thermal imager is to transform the invisible infrared energy from an object into a visible thermal image. The different colors on the thermal image represent different temperatures of the object being tested.

The infrared thermal imager can effectively observe the temperature distribution of coal in the coal belt. It has a high frame rate of 120Hz, and the coal temperature on the conveyor belt can be more accurately and clearly reflected. The dual optical path of the infrared display is more conducive to the field inspection and resolution of the alarm area.

In the application of coal mine, the Ulirvision provides portable thermal imaging device. This infrared thermal imager can play an important role in searching for hidden high-temperature coal spontaneous combustion areas, detecting mine electrical equipment, and searching and saving the miners in distress.
